Volunteer

Give an hour. Change someone’s whole week.

Our work runs on neighbors who show up. Two hours at a packing table, an evening at the shelter, a delivery route on your way across town — it all turns into food on a table and a bed with clean sheets.

Where we need hands

Pick whatever fits your life. If you are not sure, choose “wherever I am needed most” and we will find you a good fit.

  • Food Pantry Sorting & Packing

Two hours on a Saturday morning

Help sort fresh produce and pantry donations, then pack grocery boxes for neighbors and families. You will work alongside a friendly team in a bright, busy space, and you will see firsthand how your hands help fill a table. No experience needed — we will show you everything.

  • Shelter Support & Meal Service

    An evening or overnight shift

Welcome guests into our shelter, help serve a warm meal, and share a kind word over the table. You might help set up beds, tidy common areas, or simply sit and listen to someone who needs a friend. Your steady presence helps make the shelter feel like home.

  • Clothing Closet Organization

    Flexible, weekday daytime

Keep our clothing closet neat and welcoming by sorting donations, hanging clothes by size, and arranging shoes and seasonal items. You will help guests find what fits and make sure every visit feels dignified and unhurried. A good eye for organization goes a long way here.

  • Delivery Driving for Homebound Neighbors

A few hours, scheduled when it suits you

Bring groceries and supplies to neighbors who cannot come to us, whether because of illness, age, or limited transportation. You will load your car, follow a simple route, and share a moment of connection at each door. It is often the highlight of a neighbor's day — and maybe yours too.

  • Event & Outreach Help

    Flexible, as events come up

Lend a hand at community meals, drives, and neighborhood gatherings by setting up, greeting guests, and helping things run smoothly. You may also help spread the word about our programs and connect people to the help they need. It is a wonderful way to meet your neighbors and serve alongside others.

What to expect

  • You will see the difference you made by the end of your shift.
  • No experience needed — we will show you exactly what to do.
  • Bring your family, your church group, or your coworkers.
  • Students who need service hours are welcome.
